April is one of the best times of year to visit Morocco; in many respects the weather is perfect, especially if you’re traveling from colder climates. You can expect highs of up to 24c / 75f degrees along the Mediterranean Coast and, if you are lucky, on the Atlantic too, while many of the cities will be heating up throughout April as well.
If you’re heading into the desert or to the high reaches of the Atlas Mountains, then you’ll encounter cold nights, but temperatures during the day will be perfect for hiking and exploring.

Royal Air Maroc and other European airlines offer regular flights to Morocco's tourist destinations.

Neighborhoods to stay in Marrakech
The best part of Marrakech to stay in depends on what you're looking for, but here are some of the top areas:
Medina: A UNESCO World Heritage site that's a great choice for first-time visitors. The Medina is the heart of the city, with historic charm, vibrant souks, and iconic attractions like Jemaa el-Fna Square and the Bahia Palace. It's also a pedestrian area, so you can easily reach most attractions on foot. Staying in a riad, a traditional Moroccan accommodation, is a great way to experience the city authentically.
Hivernage: A close-to-everything neighborhood with luxury hotels, casinos, and the center of the party. It's also near Menara Mall, Jamaa Al Fna, and the medina.
Gueliz: The "new city" of Marrakech, with many stores, restaurants, art galleries, and modern hotels. It's close to the medina.
